Re: 1970 Croft
Modest orange-red colour, 50% opaque. Fresh fruit on the nose, lively and quite young. Thick in texture, beautifully poised and elegant; intense on the palate with multiple latyers giving good complexity. A stunning palate delivers a lingering jelly bean aftertaste and a long finish. This is a stunning bottle of port. Served blind, was guessed to be Taylor 1970. 95/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.
2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
