2000 Ramos Pinto

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Brick red in colour with a wide rim. Fesh nose of young fruit, nice and vibrant. Balanced on entry with the young fruit softened by a bit of age. Soft tannins still show and are more pronounced when air is drawn through the mouth. Restrained fruit and lots of pepper make up the aftertaste and leads to a long licorice and jelly-bean finish. This is a nicely structured port for the medium term. 88/100. Drunk 04-Apr-17.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
