1937 Kopke Colheita (bottled 2017)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled 2017. Deep amber brown colour with a hint of green on the rim; 30% opaque. An amazing nose, incredibly concentrated and intense. The first sip brings a thick, tongue coating texture with marked but balanced acidity, tasting of gentle burnt sugar and orange concentrated crepe suzette. The aftertaste is stunning and the finish huge. This is an amazing port. 96/100. Drunk 04-Apr-17.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
