Bottled 2013. Pale red-ochre colour, 20% opaque. A lovely nose of raspberry and caramel, slightly sour which gives it a very fresh edge. Rounded and balanced on the palate with plenty of fruit, although the fruit is quite dry showing dusty strawberries which are elegantly balanced. Pimento on the aftertaste and a soft cocoa finish. Very nicely elegant and balanced. Bought from Selfridges for £30 in December 2016. 89/100. Drunk 19-Apr-17. Decanted 1 day.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
