Bottling date not known. The back label states that the wine can be poured straight from the bottle - but when I did this a large dose of sludge came out in the last glassful!

Deep maroon colour, opaque centre and a medium rim. A delicious nose with power and weight, full of sweet black cherry juice and the perfume of violets. Very youthful indeed. Youthful entry with plenty of acidity and some dry tannins on the edges of the tongue. Plenty of fruit on the palate, but unbalanced by the powerful acidity. The acidity sears on the aftertaste, becoming uncomfortably hot, before a black chocolate and sour cherry finish that is big and full. This is a very nice LBV, but could do with a little more time in the cellar to mellow if it was a bottle I would want to include in my cellar. 84/100. Drunk 02-Apr-17. Decanted ½ hour.
