1965 Krohn
Re: 1965 Krohn
Kr65. Red-brown 30% opaque. Heat in nose. Palate very soft, with mint and eucalyptus. Very soft and long, and fully mature. Violets. Slightly over-mature. Very delicious, soft slightly over-mature Port.

Re: 1965 Krohn
Bronze-red colour, 30% opaque. Slightly smelly on the nose, full of bruised purple plums. Very soft entry, smooth and slightly thickened in texture. Golden syrup and swelled raisins, sweet and rounded, complimented by a milky coffee flavour that appears on the mid-palate and which changes to chocolate orange on the late-palate. Sweet, but with the acidity to hold the balance nicely. A slight heat shows on the aftertaste before the milk chocolate and orange takes hold on the finish. This is a very lovely and elegant port. While initially the Dow 1970 opened alongside was considered the better wine, by the end of the evening the order had reversed. 92/100. Drunk 10-Apr-17. Decanted 12 hours.
