Mature appearance with some brick-red tones. Baked fruit on the nose and on the palate - a palate which is a little out of balance with the tannins dominating. The spirit shows as a flash of heat of the aftertaste and the finish is a little clipped. Pleasant enough, but the '94s did not show well at this tasting. Perhaps they are going through a closed phase. 88/100.
Drunk at the Berry Brothers Port Walk on 24 Nov 2016.
