2014 Ramos Pinto Bom Retiro

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

From Ramos Pinto. Deep maroon colour, opaque. Gentle and floral nose. Smooth entry with gentle acidity and modest green tannins. Modest fruit on the palate with gentle red cherry and floral perfumes. An icing sugar and orange water presence shows up on the long and elegant finish. This is very much an elegant style of port but with some good green tannins that deliver a great finish. 89-89/100. Drunk 07-Nov-16.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
