2003 Quinta do Noval Colheita (bottled 2016)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled 2016. Deep burnished copper in colour, 90% opaque. Powerful nose of sherbet lemons and hints of almond paste. Smooth entry into the mouth with hints of burnt sugar, crepe suzette and a huge dose of acidity; the whole combines to give a great and complex palate. The acidity drives the aftertaste, intense and powerful, and a lovely finish that goes through several phases and ends with a delicious lingering orange. 92/100. 26-Sep-16. Decanted 1 hour.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
