1971 Dalva Golden White Colheita (bottled 2012)

Post by PhilW »

Bottled 2012.
Lovely deep golden amber colour.
Initial flavour of soft caramel, cut across by superbly balanced acidity (no bite, just balance); hints of citrus (mandarin), peach and honey. Very long finish, amazingly smooth all the way. Delicious.
Rating: Excellent-

Nice bottle! And a very good tasting-note. Had a bottle of this (500 ml) about 6 weeks ago with family, and that also showed rather excellent :nirvana:

I prefer the '71 over the '63. It's a very nice Port.

Completely agree; I have tasted them side by side previously with the same conclusion. I'm very impressed with the '71.
