1970 Warre

Post by Doggett »

W70 Following on from tasting lots of younger ports at the Jan 4th Emergency at the B&F, this fine port was decanted and drunk from the pub's cellar after the main tasting and dinner. It was a lovely finish to the evening and contrasted so well with it's younger cousins. Lots of toffee and caramel that accompanied a good showing of fruits. This was still very purple with 60% opacity and had a beautiful long finish. Admittedly this TN may have been influenced by having had a very good 'warm up' for the palate...but it was very enjoyable nonetheless.
