1952 Presidential Reserve Golden White Port (bottled 2002)
Tasted January 2005, TN by LadyR:
Joe has been carrying this white port to many OLs, but we never opened it, sooooo.........now it was time to pull the cork.

Very clear brown to golden colour, yellow-gold on the rim. This is a port that is made to smell at for hours: very intense and fresh aroma with flavours of lemon & orange peel, citrus, marmelade, elegant raisins, brown sugar, coffee and caramel. The taste is as elegant as the nose with additional flavours of candied tropical fruit, honey and almonds. It is semi-sweet, with a firm acidity.
This port is made very elegantly and contains many different layers.
This was really the wine of the evening; you can wake me up for this in the middle of the night Wink I'll give it 96 points. Thanks again Joe for opening it.
