I have been handed down a bottle of players port wine...
and I have NO idea if its worth anything...worth mega bucks...worth opening...keeping...
I cant find any information online so I thought I would join here and find out with you lovely folk..!
Am I going to start a bidding war...or do I expect to be laughed at by saying the glass value is worth more than the content

C da Silva is now known as Dalva, and an old bottle of Dalva’s no-specific-age tawny might be worth a tenner. (But don’t refuse less.)
Instead, why not drink it? After opening it will remain good for several days, and perhaps much longer — or at least, it will remain as good as it is, which might not be much.

That attitude seems to be favored around here, so bravo, and enjoy!

You have had good advice. Before opening and tasting it you should perhaps chill it a little. Normal white wine temperature would be fine.

DRT is quite correct. Lightly chilled. And if it is slightly cloudy, ignore that and drink up.DRT wrote:You have had good advice. Before opening and tasting it you should perhaps chill it a little. Normal white wine temperature would be fine.
