Port to sell? Excellent! Please post here, with details of what you have, how stored, and where in the world it is. Please start by reading our ‘Standard advice to would-be vendors' and ‘A note to wine merchants’.

Five bottles of Niepoort’s port, vintage 1977

Post by carolbrownie »

750 ml.
vintage: 1977, bottled in 1979
Imported by Bonsal Seggerman & Co., Locust Valley, NY
Gift of a friend in 1988. (We drank one bottle then. :- )
Stored on its side in a wine cellar at 50 - 60 F since 1988. Wine is half way up the neck of the bottle (about 3/4 inch from the cork). In excellent condition.
It's in Seattle, Washington
I have a photo, but can't figure out how to attach it.

I have asked my friend, in whose wine cellar this port is stored, to take a photo of the level of the wine in the bottle.

Reply. Beneath the text-entry box is a button saying “Upload attachment”. Start there.

I’m in London, so can’t buy your bottles, but we have a few people in Washington state, one of whom will doubtless reply within a few days. But you might note that WineConsigners has Ni77 at $115 a bottle. Vendors typically achieve half retail, in this case being $57½ per bottle.

OMG, someone selling who's not in the UK? I must be dreaming.

Hopefully things work out for Brad. This fully mature VP drinking nicely at the moment.

I believe we are currently in an actual bidding war. Emails sent and received with the seller. I'm happy to post the result when it comes.
