crate of Offleys 1980 Boa Vista vintage port

Post by chrisbriton »

Hi all,

I have 12 bottles of this in original case that i am hoping to pass on to someone who will appreciate it.
My knowledge of vintage port is limited but it has been cellar stored in its original case.
Any information on this or an idea of value would be much appreciated.
Im in the Glasgow area.

Many thanks,
Chris

Offley 1980 is not widely available. In the UK Amazon has it for £59, which is very dear. But Four Walls Wine has Graham 1980, much better juice, for £45.

That’s retail, not the price you would be paid by a retailer. You could auction it, though I’d be surprised if that netted you, after seller’s commission, more than £25 a bottle.

You could, ahem, drink it.

i have a receipt from auction state side that i paid 20$ for a bottle for what it's worth. But it was only a single bottle.

Prices have not really changed much since you posted a similar question nearly 4 years ago. Is it the same case you are looking to sell?
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Chris,

I will give you £240 for the case and will collect it from you.

Let me know.
