Port from the 1990s

Hi

I have 48 bottles of port potentially for sale. They have been stored in a garage in southern England since purchase in 1997 and 1999. While I appreciate this is not ideal, it is dry and cool, even in summer, and not subject to extremes of temperature. They are in the original crates and have not been moved since being laid down after purchase.

They are

*24 bottles of Martinez 1994
*24 bottles of Quinta do Passadouro 1998

If anyone is interested and wants to discuss, please DM me.

While neither of the Ports are headline classics, both are interesting to the Port drinker. The Martinez 1994 is a lovely Port for drinking now, mature yet with the potential to develop further. The Passadouro 1998 is unusual and uncommon, but from a vintage which is quite "hard" and overshadowed by the 1997. I've drunk plenty of the Martinez and thoroughly enjoy it, but never tried the Passadouro.

But, alas, I am not in the market to buy 24 bottles. Hopefully someone on the Board will be but if you have any difficulties finding a buyer, please let us know here and we can direct you towards one or two of the auction houses which would be able to help you sell your Port.

Thanks AHB. That's useful info. I should have said I would split if necessary - the Martinez is in cases of 12 and the Passadouro is in boxes of six.

Where are you? You said “southern England”, which is a large area.
