My bottle of Cockburns 1975
It’s been stored for at least 15 years that I know of on its
Side in the bottom of a wardrobe. I’ve inherited it but don’t like port.
Live in Bedford but can also deliver around Coventry area.
Pic attached.

Sorry to be the bearer of unwelcome news, but 1975 was not a good year; Cockburn’s was worse than average for 1975; and the bottle hasn’t been well stored.

This might be worth more than the postage of sending it, but not by much.

Have you friends with whom to drink it? Or to whom to give it?

You probably wouldn't get much for it if you sold it. As JDAW says, it's not a top tier Vintage Port.

But I've often found that mature Vintage Port (which this is) is so different from the experience that most people have of Port. If you haven't tried a 45 year old Port before, please do seriously consider opening it and sharing it with a couple of friends. Worst case you'll all agree that it's horrible and you'll tip it down the sink.

Best case, you'll have discovered something new.

Either way, please do let us know what you think of the wine when you open it.
