Dows 1960

Post by trophyman6 »

Hi
I have a nice dusty unopened bottle of Dows 1960 vintage port.
Unfortunately 3/4 of it has leaked, although i cant see a hole in the top
Just wondering is it still worth anything to sell?
Kind regards
Dave

Any leakage devalues a bottle; substantial leakage will generally make it valueless unless it happens to be a particularly rare/exceptional wine which someone might be prepared to risk paying a fraction of the normal price for, in the hope that the wine may be drinkable, even if this is unlikely. A bottle of Dow 60 which has leaked significantly is essentially valueless, I'm afraid.
