Individual Port for Sale

Post by thejoshbarton »

Hi

I have inherited some port and whilst I am keeping several bottles back for gifts, I am not a huge fan myself and am looking to potentially sell on to those that may appreciate more than I!

Until very recently they have been stored on their side in a wine cellar and latterly, they have been stored upright in a cupboard out of sunlight.
I can take some pictures if required, all are in good condition so far as I can tell, with the liquid in the neck and only a couple have damage to the labels.
I have:
Dows Vintage Port 1975 x 2
Smith, Woodhouse & Co Vintage Port 1977 x 2
Smith, Woodhouse & Co Vintage Port 1970 x 1
Martinez Vintage Port 1985 x 5
Sandeman Vintage Port 1963 x 4
Sandeman Vintage Port 1970 x 1
Fonseca Guimaraens Vintage Port 1967 x 1

Thanks

Josh

You have a nice selection of Ports for sale. I would expect that you’ll receive a few offers from the people who read the forum.

One request though. Vintage Port is best stored lying down. It is essential that it is kept out of the light, ideally somewhere the temperature is steady, cooler is better but not essential. A cupboard works if there’s space to lie the bottles down.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Thanks AHB - they are stored in a box individually bubble wrapped and the box is on it's side in a kitchen cupboard away from any heat source.
