Port to sell? Excellent! Please post here, with details of what you have, how stored, and where in the world it is. Please start by reading our ‘Standard advice to would-be vendors' and ‘A note to wine merchants’.

Taylor 48

Post by chris5317 »

Hi All,

I recently posted on the main thread 'port conversations' asking for a valuation for the bottle pictured below. After much deliberating I've decided to sell. Please PM me with offers. I'm based in NW London.

Thanks

I have five bottles and three half bottles of T48, so am not in the market for more, however others will want to know the level of the wine in the bottle:

In neck - IN - at least 1/8" (3mm) into the neck
Base of neck - BN - meniscus no wider than the outside diameter of the neck
Very top shoulder - VTS - meniscus no wider than twice the neck diameter or level less than 1/4" (6mm) below the base of neck
Top shoulder - TS - level not more than 3/8" (10mm) below the base of neck
Mid shoulder - MS - level no more than half way the way round the radius of the shoulder
Low shoulder - LS - level above the base of the shoulder
Below low shoulder - BLS - level below the base of the shoulder

Ok - the bottle is about 0.5 inch under the neck.
