Advice, is it drinkable or sellable

My husband received a gift years ago of a Marks and Spencer Vintage Port and decanter in wooden case. It has been stored in a cool place and horizontal. Is it drinkable? Or saleable as neither of us are Port drinkers. Any idea of value? Harvested 1989 bottled 1991. Photo attached hopefully!

Good news and bad. M&S 1989 is likely to be drinkable, and probably still with pleasure. The bad news? Vintage 1989 is not valuable, and for Port people is still young. The bottle is worth little: perhaps, with good salesmanship, a tenner. Not worth the effort of selling it.

So drink it. And please let us know how good it turns out to be.

Thank you for your reply! Will gift it to a raffle.

Gifting it to a raffle, or giving it to someone this Christmas, is an excellent use of the bottle.

While a port from 1989 is relatively young for vintage port it is old enough to be a very pleasant surprise for the person winning the bottle.
