I have two bottles that were left for me by my grandfather. they are bottles of 85 dows and croft. they were kept in his cellar at home, labels up and on their side, and look to be in good nick.

Sorry to disappoint you, these are not the route to riches.

Croft 1985 has a bad reputation, and the Dow 1985, which is good Port, is £40.38 a bottle at Lay & Wheeler. So selling is unlikely to be worth the transport hassle.

Could you drink them? Do you have friends or family who might appreciate them?

I dont drink at all and they would just be wasted, was going to sell them and put the money towards a charity we set up in my grandfathers name.
