Recommendations for travel to the Douro in late June

My wife and I are considering our first trip to the Douro in late June for two or three nights, and would be grateful for recommendations as to where to stay, where to eat (wife is a serious foodie), wines to drink, and things to see. Neither of us drive, so we rely on taxis and feet.

I saw the suggestions of the Quinta de la Rosa - which does look good, and wondered what else might be good.

Cheers

If you've not stayed in Oporto before, there are plenty of good places to stay and eat which we can recommend.

Other places to stay in the Douro include Tedo (close to DOC) or if going upmarket, Aquapura

Thank you for the suggestion. Indeed, the first time in Oporto.

I have booked the Quinta de la Rosa for now, and am looking forward to a couple of days of drinking wine, and watching the world go by.

I recommend the walk across town and a visit to Quinta do Bomfim — but be sure to book in advance if you want to do so.
