Experiment - get careless...

Here's an experiment I would like others to try..

Next time you decant a bottle of VP of at least 25yrs age, do it without a filter that's finer than a metal gauze.

When you come to the end of the bottle, get careless (or greedy!) and only stop when the finest sediment has already passed the neck - but still leaving most of the sediment in the bottle.

When drinking the content of the decanter, let your palate (but not your eyes!) compare the slightly cloudy dregs, with the main clear body of wine.
