Burton's vintage 1982

Post by ewust »

Hello all, does somebody know this bottle (who is the producer, when to open) and is it worth buying for €19,95?

I just wrote a tasting note on this in German here: http://weinvorteil.de/blog/2012/04/burt ... port-1982/

Let me know if you can read this, otherwise I translate.

Please transelate.
I know Messias - not among the big players - so I must say that i'm somewhat surprised that the Burton/Messias vintage port rises to the score 16 out of 20!!!

Best regards from Denmark

if you´re interested in technical data of BURTONS 1982:

http://www.cavesmessias.pt/uk/loja_prod ... uto_ID=220

For 20€ I would purchase it, just for curiosity. it is the only vintage where Messias use this label.

by the way, if your compare to declared Messias VP 1982, there a surprisingly a flashy similiar in technical data like residual sugar, acid....
