Any time not spend drinking port, is a waste of time.

Re: Smith Woodhouse LBV 1974
Smith Woodhouse LBVs have the ability to age really well since they are unfiltered. While I've not had the SW74, I have drunk both filtered (Dalva '68, Taylor '65, '67 and '69, Val Coelho '61) and unfiltered (Niepoort '75, Warre '74) LBVs of similar age in the last couple of years. In general, the unfiltered are much better than the filtered when allowed to mature in bottle for some time, but I have enjoyed them all. Some of the older filtered LBVs have been quite light and delicate, but the unfiltered have been very good.
I would be very happy if I had just bought a bottle of SW '74 LBV - something for you to look forward to drinking when you have recovered from your cold.

Thanks AHB.... useful information
If you are coming to Denmark, you can have a bottel.... I bought 6 bottels
The reason I bought them, was the year, Im from 74..... But normaly 74 is not a good year, Its diffycult to find any vintage from 74....

Then please do keep an eye out for the Warre 1974 LBV. It is very good. I bought 3 bottles a few years ago and have now drunk them all, but I sometimes see them for sale still. Wine Searcher may be able to help you find some.ac-fast wrote:The reason I bought them, was the year, Im from 74..... But normaly 74 is not a good year, Its diffycult to find any vintage from 74....
It's very unlikely that I will travel to Denmark - but if I do I will be sure to post here!
