Great video, and I’m really pleased for Dirk with the result of the auction.
But that’s going to make it much more expensive to buy the Niepoort VV now - if I can only find a bottle!

The old VV has been on my bucket list for a long time; I hope to try it one day - though that might just have become somewhat less likely!

The datasheet for the new VV states that this also contains the 1863 as its base wine, but this time a garrafeira which had been in barrel until 1972 and then bottled in demijohn until being decanted and used in the 999 bottles of 170th anniversary VV released in December 2012.
