What's the value?

I have found 2 bottles of port at my grandfathers house but since my lack of knowledge in port of this age, I am wondering what the value is.
Hopefully the value can be indicated due to the fact that one of the labels is significantly damaged.

Thanks in advance!

You have two unusual bottles and it won't be easy to give you an idea of their value since they are so unusual.

The first bottle is a vintage port from a producer who no longer exists - what is the word under and to the right of "DE MOOR"? The second bottle is of a port which has been aged in wood before being bottled by a company called Shepherd's, a name which vaguely rings a bell.

Can you tell us a little more about them? For example:
- where did your grandfather keep them?
- when you found them, were they upright or lying down?
- if you hold the bottle vertically, where is the top of the liquid compared to the neck or shoulders of the bottle?
- if you shine a light through the bottle, are the contents pale amber, orange or red?
- are you in the UK? If so, roughly where?

Some information about Tuke Holdsworth brand have been mentioned in various threads on this forum; additional information: http://www.vintageport.se/house/Hunt.php
I think the label "DE MOOR" (the word just to the right could be Amesterdam…) under the main producer label ‘Tuke Holdsworth’ refers the wine merchant or reseller as can be seen in other similar exemples: http://www.lauritz.com/en/auction/1-fla ... /i3513758/#
Please note that 1943 it’s a poor vintage year and the value of this bottle will depend on several factors (as well referred above by AHB); merely by way of example: Tuke Holdsworth Vintage 1947 (not 1943) was auctioned £149 in Christies auction, London 1992.

"Amersfoort", by the looks of it. I don't think this particular merchant / bottler exists there anymore.

Exactly; this particular merchant/bottler (DE MOOR, Amersfoort) seems to have existed in the late 20th century: https://www.europeana.eu/portal/en/reco ... 16edd.html
