Heads-up...

There is an article in this month's edition of Decanter that will be of interest to lovers of the brown sticky stuff.

I thought for one moment you were saying that to celebrate their 40th anniversary next year, Decanter had organised a tasting of the 1978 vintage ports plus tastings of 10 and 20 yo tawny.

I was impressed by Decanter's dedication to the service of the wine lover.

Then I realised that wasn't what you meant.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

I buy the odd one (Decanter) in hard copy but I am currently sulking about their paywall. One of those irritating ones where it is far from clear whether you will be allowed to look at the article until you have clicked on it. Then if it is of any interest you are not. All the advertorials are of course still available to be viewed.
