This is a rather neat way of tagging bottles..
Buy a stash of these el cheapo key rings:

Whip off the steel ring and replace with these 40 x 1.5 rubber bands, threaded through the same hole:

Rubber bands will perish and fail if exposed to heat, UV, or ozone from electrical equipment such as copiers and printers, but if spared those hazards will last a long time - I have here a bottle tag with rubber band used by Christies in 1992 that is still in perfect nick..
