Oscar Quevedo start some weeks ago a very interesting experiment to answer this question.
He bottled his 2014 Vintage Port with 3 different closures:
- natrual cork
- screwcap
- plastic cork
+ a fourth bottle in "pota" shape (with natural cork)
to see in a decade or so with what closre the wine (in all bottles is exactly the same) matures better.

The set is availible in a wooden box. 500 boxes are made.

Here in Norway we can get Quevedo LBV 2011 in 20cl bottles with screwcap.(But no bigger bottles unfortunately.)
