Port & wine websites and blogs

Post by Doggett » 15:45 Fri 16 Oct 2015

Would kind :tpf: folk please let me know what blogs they can recommend to get more info about Port and Wine. With :tpf: being obviously the best resource, what other sites have good regular updates about 'good juice' as Julian would say? Obviously most the producers have their own sites and I would also be interested in which ones are the considered the best? Any help or advice appreciated.

The Malvedos Blog is good.

Christian Seely can be interesting, but is infrequent.

Oscar Quevedo sometimes has good posts.

It's also worth reading and following :ftlop2014:

OK techie whizzies. How do I make the FTLOP logo a hyperlink to the FTLOP homepage?
Top Ports in 2019 (so far): Cockburn 1947 and Quinta do Noval Nacional 2017
2018 Ports of the year: São Leonardo 1927 White Port (Bottled 2018), Quinta do Noval Nacional 1994

Add a space before the first colon and one after the last colon that defines the icon:

Vintageport.se is fantastic

Richard Mayson's site has some good TNs from interesting tastings (both private and trade)

I think DRT still maintains an archive of infoportwine.com - a great port website that was run by Herman Gerdingh, a Dutch port enthusiast, until illness a few years ago

For wine, I quite like the winepages forum

I do host an archive of infoportwine.com but it is no longer added to. It is a great source of information and I wanted to make sure it remained available when Herman became too ill to maintain it. A fitting legacy to a committed Port enthusiast

Hello Simon.

Of course I'm absolutely biased - but I like my own blog on Facebook very much:

https://www.facebook.com/Portwein-118856431560215

I try to show the beauty of everything Port Wine related - and you can find tons of photos that I took during my many trips to the Douro and Porto...
This Saturday I will publish a large article about one of the least known Port producers...
