Re: Getting thirsty?
How about Wednesday 20th? At the Boot & Flogger unless anyone wants to try a new venue such as the Habit on Crutched Friars or The Cooperage in Greenwich (which is Ian Wright's current location). Works for me as does pretty much any day one would care to suggest-I getting the delirium tremens (...

Re: Thursday 19th May 2016, 1966 @ 50
An absolute belting tasting, probably the best horizontal I have taken part in in my time on :tpf: As has already been remarked, very difficult to differentiate many of the Ports (as can be seen from the scoring) but all peaking beautifully and with an en expectation of many more good drinking years...

Re: Hello to all
Welcome aboard! Good unfiltered LBV (which besides Taylor and Graham seems be becoming more the norm these days) is indeed a relatively inexpensive means of making a first foray into bottle matured Port. I would also suggest looking out for Crusted Port (which is a mix of different vintages and just...

Re: Thu 21 April 2016, B&F, Dow versus Graham, pre-BFT
This was a lovely warm up for the BFT the following day and it good to have the company of both Oscar and Chris again and also to meet and hear from David. The B&F staff were also on top form with regards both the food and service. In terms of the Ports, although Mike indicates (correctly) that ...

Bottle decanted at 7am from a batch from which we have previously enjoyed a good bottle. Level at BN, nice mid-red colour and nothing to suggest that it won't be another good bottle.

Yes, good idea Tony-I think this was one of tastings suggested the other night. In which case I will desist from quaffing my bottle of FG67 (the other one I had was terrific). We probably will need a bit of time as outside of the Ck, Mz and TV, I don't recall seeing too much of the others. However, ...

I guess if we're going to restrict to one bottle each then that would mean picking six/seven vintages for this mini vertical comparison. I'm in and could put up D60, 63,66,70,77, 83 and 85. For G: 63, 70,77,80 and 85.
