Re: Superbowl 49

It wasn't so much a pass there it was the type....toss a corner over the outside shoulder that has no chance of being intercepted. Better yet, audible to an option sweep/bootleg. Great game in so many ways--fun to watch.

Re: Is anything from the '90s worth opening today?

I had a 1991 Croft and 1994 Grahams this past week. The Grahams was fine but really needs more time to be at "peak". The Croft was more evolved and in a good spot--closer to its apex--although again, a few more years would do it more justice. Both were heartily enjoyed. On Friday, the Crof...

Following four posts moved here from planning thread, by jdaw1.

Curious to know how the 1985 Churchill's shows. Just had it in a small line up of 1985's, including a Grahams, and it was the WOTN---shocked all of us.

Whatever it is the complete lack of response on this topic means to me Croft has not marketed these products at all....after all we are Port Fanatics.

Maybe, depending on the motivation. On the positive side: - it might encourage those thinking of posting, seeing other similar posts with responses. - if the poster reads such previous posts, they might have all the info they need, and then not post. On the negative side: - if the poster reads such...

Croft Ruby Reserves

Posted this on FTLOP as well....Was just looking at the Croft Website and they seem to have several Ruby Reserves (All are called "Finest Reserve"): 1. Distinction 2. Purple Velvet 3. Extravagance 4. Indulgence 5. Platinum Yet there are few notes here. Interesting that they would market fi...

Re: Buying or Selling Port

Absolutely. Make it easy for newbies to find the proper advice....its usually the same story "you are better off keeping and enjoying" and ends with an offer to bring your bottle to share. Just seems cleaner and simpler to do what you propose.

Re: IVDP glasses and square stems

Pinky or not the Riedel's a very fragile (I have broken two just drying them). I have two cases of basis glasses (Majorie Lumm for $99 for the case plus shipping). They are smaller than the Riedel's but are far more sturdier (only broken ones are from dropping) and the stems are round. Of course, a ...

Keep it and drink it. You'll be lucky to get 50% selling. Far better to enjoy it or give it away. While a nice port--it is no blockbuster.
