See my reply further back: "But then again, maybe not.
However, in Scotland it would qualify as a Munro."

Re: Apostrophe crimes

Mt. Rainier is 14,411. :-P I've skied at 12,000' in Colorado (Crested Butte). Yeah, the last couple thousand feet make a big difference. Most of the resort is between 9000' and 10,500', but if you go up top and take a couple of those black runs you'll be gasping for breath in no time. That's nothin...

Re: 1985 Graham's / Warre's / Quinta do Noval

I have 52 cases of 1985 vintage port that are stored in bond Plutus warehouses in Liverpool. The cases were brought over to the UK directly after they were released from their respective houses and have remained in bond in Liverpool ever since. I am considering selling some or all of the cases. The...

You might be a capable cyclist, but I am not impressed with your math/conversion skills.

Re: One quiz at a time

The "hills" by my house are over 4,000' (~ 13,000 meters). I ride my bike up them. The mountains in the U.K. Are bumps. Hiking in the Highlands wasn't that hard for me and they weren't that tall. It's all relative to what you're used to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Indeed Andy, but...

990m?
A molehill or a mountain, same difference. If the name includes "fjell", it's a mountain in Norway. I have heard, however that all things are much bigger in USA.

Best so far.
