It seems to me that they are missing a bit of a trick here, publicity wise, since the wine press only really covers Port in April and at a Christmas. If it’s not possible to get the declarations out early...

Re: Warre's Otima

Selfridges have both the Colheitas for sale. I have had the 2006 which was for want of a better expression, “middling”. Very pleasant but no wow factor. I haven’t had the ‘95 yet. I think the Otima range was good at making tawny port more mainstream and accessible back in the Mid/late 90s, when I th...

Fortified Retailer of the Year 2020

Huge Congratulations to Tony & Claire and all the team at Vintage Wine & Port for winning the Decanter Sweet & Fortified Wine Specialist Retailer of the year for 2020. Two awards in two years for VWP and very well deserved! Such a range of ports but some great online tastings this year t...

It looks like an Offley 1972 and a slightly off piste choice of a Cavendish 1963 will be tasted here at the Heritage tomorrow evening. Will look forward to having AHB as the zoom co-pilot.

Re: Sherry Tasting with Sarah Jane Evans MW

Have done a number of Sherry tastings over the years, and this was one of the best. If you haven’t already partaken then VWP still have the tasting packs available. Exceptionally good value. Completely agree. Anyone who is interested in the different styles of wine or gaining more knowledge about s...

Whereabouts Ian? If you are near Weymouth you should pop by for a cup of tea/glass of port.

Just spotted that your post earned you the somewhat ephemeral rank of "Cruz Tawny". Well done!

Neil
And my ‘devil’ post too! Someone obviously thought “Cruz Tawny” was evil when establishing the list.

My sample labelled Noval National 1963 has arrived safely too thank you. The fun of not being blind is more than negates by the chance of such fine Port. Doffs hat in thanks.
