20% opacity, brown orange, hints of tobacco yellow. Only very slightly sharp nose, medicinal hints, and apricots! Rich, syrupy mouthfeel, orange marmalade, no tannin. Very mature - I liked it, so gave it ½ a point. Guessed to be Ba63.

50% opacity, cloudy. Slightly dirty nose. Light in the mouth, some spice, faint hints of red fruit, not much finish.

Disappointing given the delight provided by the first bottle from this stash.

60% opacity, very cloudy plum colour. Sweetness, thin at the start, a bit flabby but big sweetness. Perhaps fading somewhat as it felt like the balance was a little off, lacking a bit of structure. Guessed to be Ca85.

30% opacity, wonderful clear glossy red. Couldn't get much on the nose, in the mouth, very smooth, sweetness and fruit, mature but retaining great balance. Correctly guessed to be GM64  :D :CC0000:

A great evening! We had the pleasure of welcoming Henry as a guest and Jon to his first offline :D A selection of ports which took us away from the usual suspects, which was great fun no real duds among them. Very interesting to hear Henry share some insights on vintages and production. And most imp...

Separately, this time it wasn’t my totalling that went wrong. I identified the GM64 as GM, and the Ni77 as ’77, but have been credited with only a single point. Now that you mention it, several people guessed GM and did not get their point - due wholly to my complete overexcitement at having correc...

As it happens, I have a spare bottle of non-Symington non-TFP ≤1994 Port sitting next to me as yet un-decanted. Is it worth sending up the bat signal to see if anyone else not yet on the list is available, and they can adopt this bottle? Mr Coombes? Rupert? Others?

I may be playing Hexagonal Thing in the afternoon. What do you plan to use as Things? My tub of pieces (circa 1991) has monopoly houses and green plastic disks. This whinging little boy is not fit to manage anything if this is how he behaves when it goes wrong. It is now too late for him to man-up. His team will think he is weak and will not believe he will stand with them in a crisis. Boycott is correct - no aura of leadership = no leadership. Yes conside...
