Re: Tue 10 Oct - A Gould Campbell vertical

First post now edited to confirm the attendees and bottles allocated (all of those who have bottles allocated have been contacted although a couple of confirmations are still outstanding-you know who you are!). No success on the Industry Guest front but it does mean that all on the waiting list (who...

Re: Port for sale by retailer

Waitrose turn for a discounted offer but only three bottles required to save 25%. Looking at the 2011VP showing on-line, this makes the SW2011 £200 for 6 (better than the on release price).

Must admit that I quite like the idea of a SQVP tasting but am happy to go along with anything providing it involves drinking Port!

Re: Summer Thirst, Wednesday 9th August 2017

A great night with a varied and high standard of VPs on show (not a duffer in sight). Charles fooled us in having a RV77 mag decanted into two bottles in which I then preferred one over the other (I forget which but in my defence one had been kept in the fridge!). Alex's T70 garnered my vote for the...

Re: Tue 10 Oct - A Gould Campbell vertical

Right it's about time I re-ignited this thread as it's now just over two months to go. No need for further reconfirmations of attendance although last time around no reconfirmations were received from Ben and Chris D and so if these are not received a week from now then we will work our way down the...

Re: Thu 13th July - La nuit avant le jour de Bastille

Gents It has just come to my attention that there is a Twenty20 match at Lords on Thursday. Although the game is sold out, we may be able to get 3 tickets. If we can get tickets, would people be interested in using Lords as a venue for our offline on the 13th? Note that you are only allowed to brin...

Re: A reliable company to collect and forward bottles won at Auction

I must confess that when writing a response to the original post I was going to ask whether the carrier in question began with the letter 'B' as I kind guessed that you might be referring to them. A second confession is that a good friend of mine (known to a few people on this Forum) suffered the sa...

To address Old Bridge's comments and help guide on price, so far I have received offers at these levels: £520 / case for the Graham's £460 / case for the Warre's £600 / case for the Quinta Of course at these levels, these exceptional ports still represent an opportunity for an individual to acquire...

Many of us have a tradition of opening a bottle of port and watching the election results come in. This year, for the first time since 2010, we will have an offline on election night after Theresa May attempted to usurp our long held booking.
Or should that be 'uslurp' or 'usup ? :D
