Correction. Derek only wishes these to be swaped for buttons which sit outside posts or forums. Two examples are Reply and New Topic. These are currently white buttons on a white background, which makes them hard to identify as buttons. Buttons inside posts are white buttons on a coloured backgroun...

Currently buttons are: • usually white, with red writing and a black border; • except when hovering, when they become red with white writing and same black border. Derek wishes to swap these modes, so they are usually red with white writing, and when hovering become white with red writing. Before do...

Re: New Style
"Joined" isn't that relevant on every post, once we get to know each other, and the PM/Email option could go to the right of the user name. If the PM etc buttons go to the right of the username, they make the name harder to read than if it stands on a line alone. So I don’t support that. ...

Any chance of purging the final bits of ProSilver blueness (I’m thinking particularly of the Board Index image: http://theportforum.com/styles/ThePortForumRed/theme/images/icon_home.gif and the boarder of the text-box when replying to posts)? Missed these two, too: http://theportforum.com/styles/Th...

Re: A port wine society?
Am I the only member of both :tpf: and SMWS ? Most of my whisky comes from the SMWS. The difference is that SMWS sell something that, until recently, was otherwise unavailable. Whisky, at cask strength, not chill filtered: just as it came out of the cask. Whisky is usually sold pre-diluted down to 4...

It is still white on my screen. Have you backed it out? Still pale yellow on mine. No. I absolutely did not ask for the logo to be small. I asked for the text to be small because people sitting at desks 300 feet behind me in the office could read what site I was on. The logo should be larger than i...

You wanted it small. Currently 32 by 32: choose a size 16n-by-16n for any integer n. Setting n=3 would be 50% larger in width and height, but 125% larger in area.DRT wrote:The TPF logo in the header should be larger at around 165% of its current size.

Re: New Style
Why does the Board Index not have the same background colour as the individual Forums and threads? This seems inconsistent with your view that some colours are too white. My objection isn’t to too white. It is that all non-white colours should be distinct from white. The board index is different to...
