No, it's not Calem. The shipper I'm looking for is just about as known as Calem (maybe even somewhat lesser than that) in The Netherlands. There also seems to still be an 1815 VP from this shipper on the market somewhere ...smisse wrote:Calem 1945

Re: One quiz at a time
It's not Andresen. The bottle is showing in the middle of the picture that goes with my name right with my reactions. Unfortunately nothing of the bottle label was left on that bottle, only the bottle capsule told of the shipper.RonnieRoots wrote:1945 Andresen

About 2,5 years ago, I got to taste the best and most special Vintage Port I ever had so far, from a family member's birthyear. Which port did I drink?

I often use a glass for white wine. It's Weissweinkelch series VINO GRANDE from Spiegelau. http://www.amazon.de/Spiegelau-Wei%C3%9Fweinkelch-Vino-Grande/dp/B001IILG2O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1251804531&sr=1-1 I'd say this one looks like a pipe. http://www.amazon.com/Oenophilia-...

Re: NYC tasting with Quevedo Port Wine 7/21/2009
We had a great time with the folks of the TPF in NYC. As a producer, I'm really glad to see the passion for Port Wine all these guys showed. I'll probably go to the Netherlands some day in the first weeks of November. I hope I can meet there some more Port enthusiasts! Hi Oscar, Speaking for myself...

Re: Out of Curiosity
Hi Oscar, I'm interested in your vintage 2007. What are your current shipping prices to the Netherlands or Belgium for one case? Who will provide you pricing from DHL? (I work for DHL so can try to help) rgrds, Dries Dries, I'll send you a list of our prices, and if anyone is interested in knowing ...

Re: Is port a lot cheaper in Portugal?
Hi All, I am planning to buy some 2007 VP's and am currently looking at the pricing in Holland which appears to be very expensive. The Fonseca for example costs 472,50EUR for 6 bottles which to be fairly honest is too high for me. Yet I do want them  So, therefore I am wondering what the p...

Re: Out of Curiosity
I'm one of the lightweights too in this matter. I am probably good for about 10-12 bottles of port a year, so far. On one hand, because I have just started buying/collecting Vintage ports (with 2005 as the first vintage of which I bought quite a lot of), and these bottles need some more time to matu...

Re: So, (what) will you be buying from the 2007's?
My 2007 VP orders (so far, combined with the ones that my father ordered) are: For me this is quite a lot of bottles VP of one vintage, given the prices and the fact that I'm not drinking VP on a daily basis. On the other hand, my youngest son was born in 2007, so as I am hoping to enjoy a lot of t...

Hello everybody!
Hi everyone, I've been following many of the topics on the PortForum for some time now, and realized it would be nice to join you all port-enthousiasts. I'm a wine and port enthousiast for some years now (wine for about 18 years, port for about 4 years), and it 'll be great to sometimes share some o...
