Look guys, we are all geeks, that's a given. So at least one of you has to be a photography expert who has experience of taking close-up pictures in artificial light. I don't need to know what it is that you normally photograph, I just need some tips on which settings to use to enable me to show you...

My office is about half a mile from the worst affected area in Sheffield. Last night's journey home was an adventure never to be repeated. Jo works in Chesterfield and took 7 hours to travel the 6 miles home last night. During the numerous phone conversations we had it became increasingly clear that...

The breaks on 3 and 4 were just as pronounced as on 5 but were in a slightly different direction so are hidden behind the bone in the x-ray. they all needed lumps of titanium to hold them together. Aparently my entire hand will shatter into small fragments if I do it again whilst the pins are still ...

I had to give up my sporting lifestyle about 2 years ago due to a skiing accident. I broke my hand when a death defying stunt jump went badly wrong. The xray below shows the fractured 3rd, 4th and 5th metacarpals, the bones that run through your hand from your wrist to your fingers. http://farm2.sta...

Ok guys, brace yourself - you are about to witness a new paradigm in note taking: Dow's 1977 - Fairy liquid, sour Quarles Harris 1977 - Mmmm, that's nice, burnt, like cinder toffee and crunchie's Smith Woodhouse 1977 - I don't mind that one actually, warm and smooth Warres 1980 - Oh! I like that one...

I noticed the same phenomenon on another site we all know of yesterday. Are there some gremlins at work here? Are all the guests coming from the same IP address? Could it be google's spiders crawling all over the site?
