Actually, not yet. Do people want me to change my vote?
We'll need a poll to determine that.
Shouldn't we have a poll to decide whether to have a poll to decide?

Re: Should we have a poll?

No! How could you even suggest such a thing? Don't you care about the planet at ALL?! Archiving of additional polls would cause further CO2 emissions due to additional hard disks being manufactured, increasing global warming and eventually causing the planet to explode. No to Polls!

Re: 2014: the TPF blend

I have no idea what we might produce... Might an alternative be to take a set of bottles from say 1999 and attempt a blend; this would have the advantage of potential immediate drinkability, but also longer term improvement, rather than 2014 requiring us to wait 15-20 years to see how we did? (I hav...

Re: Niepoort LBV vertical

Our collective experience with older unfiltered Warre LBV has been very positive; It would be very interesting to try the same with Niepoort (I am assuming we're talking about unfiltered LBV?). I suspect it will be much harder to source a selection of such older Niepoort LBV bottles and that we may ...

xls here too. I can see a simple database would work better, though you'd want to be able to design it yourself ideally, so xls is the compromise which allows me to simply store and manage exactly what I want to.

Re: Fair price for 1933 niepoort?

I have only one image of a Niepoort '33 in the VPID though it is only low resolution, so I cannot make out all of the label wording: http://www.hallarn.com/vpid/images/bottles/IMG_1589.JPG Does this by any chance match your bottle? If you are able to post a higher resolution image of the label, plea...

Re: Annual ACPT March 8th 2014 tasting in NY

And finally, though this is the Annual ACPT tasting, we're doing a frickin' Fonseca vertical going back to the 50's. It deserves a majestic name. Any suggestions? If you're including the '97, then the run would be '55 to '97, so the name could be "The Meaning of Life: 42 Years of Fonseca"...

if you carefully re-arrange the letters and make a couple of strategic substitutions, you could [turn] Niepoort into ... Fonseca lol - On that basis I'm not even going to attempt to solve any anagrams you create... unless I'm being offered Niepoort 1933 to do so, which would be an entirely differen...

I was planning to wait for the 25% off for 6 or more before buying; will happily pick some up for you before that if you would prefer. Since it has only just appeared, I'm hoping it won't disappear again any time soon.

Mon 24th Feb

There is about a 90% chance that I will be passing through London on Monday night and will be eating and drinking at TBH around 6pm. I could be there until around 8pm. If anyone fancied joining me, and we could share a bottle of their Offley '77 or just have a glass or two of Churchill '94 and/or be...

Just a double-check; when you confirmed with Tom, he didn't just mean to confirm the 650 (vs 750) as opposed to the cL (vs ml).
