Re: Buying or Selling Port
Yes. But could it be named “Selling Port”, as it is about selling. We could compromise on “Selling or Buying Port”, in that order, but this section really isn’t for “I need a 1904 Sandeman. Who has?” I would also agree, this is not about buying; "Port for sale", "Port to sell?" ...

On the positive side: - it might encourage those thinking of posting, seeing other similar posts with responses. - if the poster reads such previous posts, they might have all the info they need, and then not post. On the negative side: - if the poster reads such ...

"Whitwhams Wines Limited, Altrincham, Cheshire" was the best fit I could find also, seems to be a reasonable assumption.
(n.b. no apostrophe, and seems to have become "Whitwhams Wines" instead of "Whitwham and Company wines" sometime in the 60's)

Have checked; I have one bottle of G70, but the label is heavily damaged; It is English bottled by "?????????????s Wine Limited, ?????????????ire". Can you post a picture so that the sleuths can guess? Pic here (click for large version): http://www.hallarn.com/vpid/thumbs/labels/IMG_1326....

Re: Non-Oporto-bottled G70 comparison tasting
I'm in, subject to date. Will check my G70 (good choice; I had previously considered W70 for the same purpose - if there are a similar number of shippers for G70 this could be very interesting).

Re: UK v Oporto bottling
There have been several previous discussions on possibilities of EB vs OB, and of a shipper-verizontal; both are imo excellent ideas, and I would be up fo either / both, dates permitting.
