Confirmed.
Would prefer not to open new case from storage if avoidable; have RO and qLR to hand, or happy to adopt.

I confirm, but why am I on the reserve? Two days ago i was on the participant list?! Same foreign participants not wanted? I'm certain that's not true at all. It was this: I think that there might have been a snafu, and some acceptances were listed out of order. I will re-do my admin. The problem w...

Hi Daniel, Merry Xmas, and glad the F70 is standing the test of time. If it's the bottling I think it is, I believe I have one left (though I don't remember seeing it for a long time...). Hope you have an enjoyable break with good food, wine and company. Cheers! Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk

Looks good, thank you.
(If you make any further changes, suggest we can lose the cork sheets as there isn't usually space for them at the Xmas tasting)

Done. Please say whether satisfactory.
Thank you. Please could the number of wines per column be even, so that if I fold twice (to A6) we don't have the lie item folded in half? I would be happy with 6/column, others might prefer 4.

Re: 1994 Tesco

So, nearly ten years on I have a couple of bottles of this in my cellar. I last opened a bottle on my birthday in December 2013, so I figured 10 years on would be good to see the evolution. Has anyone had any of this since this thread, and if so is there any advice for decanting time? I'm planning ...

Re: Xmas 2023 - The Unknown Shipper & His Peculiar Friends

WOTN voting sheets is a good call. What’s a “foldable tasting note sheet”? Is that a normal tasting note sheet which you have folded? The original idea was to allow a single sheet of A4 to be folded twice, to create a compact A6 sheet with four "pages" with sections for each wine, perhaps...

Re: Xmas 2023 - The Unknown Shipper & His Peculiar Friends

If I recall correctly, Tom found the sticky labels a pain when it came to washing the glasses. I suggest people bring chalk pens so we can write on the bases. ⟹︎ I’m not making any unless clearly instructed otherwise. I would like foldable tasting note sheets, and WOTN scoring sheet. I may be alone...

Re: Taylor Single Harvest Tawny Tasting - 16 May 2024

The Quevedo White was incorrectly described in the original list in the first post, but now updated. It’s actually the “Very Old…” so amendment required to placemats. To be fair, it depends whether you're looking at the box or the label. It is really "Quevedo 1970 white", but due to regul...

A thoroughly enjoyable evening with excellent company; overall the wines showed well, though with some variations. - the ’27 was quite oxidised (as expected from previously-leaked bottle with light colour) - the ’45 was not singing as much as it can, though still showed well enough to garner my thre...

Double decanted at 07:45.

(notes for Glenn ;) :
Decanted from bottle into decanter through single piece of sterile gauze;
Decanted from decanter back into bottle just using funnel)

Smells lovely.
