Re: Test cricket vs IPL

I have to agree the Ashes can give good entertainment, I remember botham single handedly beating the Aussies many years ago, although I think my favourite moment was Gatting being bowled round his legs by Shane Warne(best captain Australia never had). I also have fond memories of test Match Special ...

Test cricket vs IPL

OK I know this will anoy some purists but why bother with boring 5 day stuff when the IPL gives fantastic entertainment twice a day for a few weeks every year. In between the ICC could organise a T20 world cup every year and any time left could be speant playing the 50 over game. Not only would this...

Re: None of My Greek friends have "Liked" port posts on Face

Have not come accross fortified wine in Greece, and always visit in spring or autaumn and avoid insane heat(and insane number of tourists). I have enjoyed some whites from Limnos but have to confess to a dislike for retsina!!!

None of My Greek friends have "Liked" port posts on Facebook

I have noticed that none of my Greek friends havwe ever "Liked" any of my Port related posts on Facebook. I Hold myself entirely responsible for not introducing them to the pleasure of the drink. While on subject of Greece I would recomend Metaxa Private Peserve as a decent "brandy&qu...

Rangers Football Club(in administration)

A few observations, firstly as a Celtic fan I am still p1ssing myself. More seriously I find it difficult to believe that Craig Whyte passed SFA fit and proper person test when plenty information about him was available http://rangerstaxcase.com/2011/03/ to them before the takeover took place. Why w...

Am definately in the mildly p1ssing camp but Old firm games win or lose have always been hiinghlights of season. Scottish football would not be the same without them.

I missed the whole thing due to work stuff going mad this week. What a disgraceful mess. I had hoped we had seen the last of that sort of thing in this country but it seems not. Proud? No. Derek Sure that Rangers fans will not be doing that sort of thing on European nights for a few years! I'm cons...

Re: hello from Dundee Scotland

I'm still envious of your record of 11p for a half bottle of Croft 2004 LBV! Welcome to the forum. I've got to admit to being somewhat envious of some of the collections I've seen described on :tpf: as mine consists of about 40 bottles. I'm also envious of storage facilities especially as I'm loosi...

You are not the first, and certainly won't be the last, to suffer from that here. But you might find yourself being charged with crimes in this thread.

hello from Dundee Scotland

Hi, I'm a port drinker living in a 13th floor flat in Dundee. My port drinking is mostly traditional lbv, single quinta, and supermarket own brand vintage when on special offer. Martin.
