Re: New York again, Easter

Would be great if you could make it. And steak would be great too. I'll keep Lupulo in the back burner for now. What time would you be shooting for? Can you zero in on how many we can be before they run into glassware issues? Looking like $150 food + $100 port... likely at the Palm Tribeca. Earlier...

Re: New York again, Easter

Friday nights @ 8:30pm might be tough for me because of the kids but I would happily contribute a bottle to the tasting regardless wrt port glasses, i think that's going to be trouble wherever. I do have boxes of the port tasting glasses we all have become accustomed to but as i would be coming from...

Re: New York again, Easter

Indeed,

I have a few leaky bottles that need to be drunk as it's making the charcuterie in my cellar smell sweeter than it should be!

Now for just time and location =)

Give me a price range people.

1985 Graham

Opened by Dave a week before, put into half bottle and sealed into fridge. Ruby hue with hints of purple. A light root spiced nose with hints of crushed cranberries. Smooth pomegranate on the palate giving way to baked sugared cinnamon. A little thin on the palate but finishes with a nice cinnamon b...

Re: Porto St Claire

I saw reference to it when i was taking my driving course, to reduce my insurance premiums, here in NY.

It was used as an example of the evils of drunk driving.

Fonseca 1985

Can anyone tell me how many cases were produced?

Also if you guys can do me the favor and tell me how many bottles of such wine you have drunk.

I personally have consumed 18 bottles of F85.

As a side note, would it be possible to corner the market on F85, would such endeavor be worthwhile?

but is there really a point to stock up on this port, from the notes i've read on here, that is at best possibly mediocre? Mediocre? Your point system must be very different than mine. It'd be like buying a 84' Domaine d Romanee Conti just to say you have it but not really enjoy drinking it.
