Sure! I'll have Bubba moved to a different one. Would you like some 1974 Noval Colheita or some 2000 Taylor LBV with your microwave dinner

But a wine maker choses between many many casks of port to blend their house style with tawnys. With VP he doesn't have that ability as it is soley dependant on the years growing season. That is not to say that VP's don't have a "style" as the grapes typically come from the same properties...

Thanks Derek...tomorrow is the big dinner celebration and I can't wait. Tonight I am stuck at home with a Dodds Mosley Cellars Delorean (Cabernet Sauvignon/Syrah blend). Not bad and it was the first wine a very good friend of mine produced. Next up is a 1990 Niepoort Colheita...I think...Hmm, maybe ...

It really depends on the house, how often they bottle, if the stocks used are all from their regular properties, if they buy older stocks from other producers, etc. That said, I think it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to tell the difference between bottles that were bottled only one yea...

I've found that as it gets older it goes from more of a silty sediment to a flakey sediment. Unless the bottle was shaken up real good a short time before hand, where its all a mess at that point.

I dont want to spoil my last bit of hope imagining that some nasty british-american feet, who were not washed a lot during this tour beforehand left their mark in the wine as well :) Why else would people prefer VPs made from foot trodden grapes over mechanically trodden grapes?  My fee...

Andy, If you try to hang that bin label on a bottle in a regular rack, it crashes onto the bottle below and looks stupid.. Fine for bins holding bottles by the hundred, but who has those these days? I have this horrid feeling that the bin label probably costs as much as a bottle to produce... Tom G...

Andy - I believe that Berry Brothers are planning a complete Vesuvio vertical this Autumn. I've no idea what the cost will be yet. Do you want me to see if I can influence the choice of date so that it falls into the week that includes October 8? Alex Now that would be very nice. I'm sure with a li...

Ok, I'm a little bit into a couple bottles so bear with me  yes its an average age of about 3-4 years. but it was really like a lower ranked unfiltered LBV. A crusted, in my opinion, is a bit better than a good unfiltered LBV and a big step up than the Rosa Lot 601. But if I had to by a Graham...
