Fresh red fruits. A strong tannic grip for the age. Oscillating between fresh raspberries and violets dominance in an odd but pleasant way.

Lovely red fresh berry nose. Still quite a tannic monster. Great acidity. Nose follows wonderfully through to the mouth. Needs at least another 10years.

Red Berry nose - something a little more complex going on behind the scenes but cannot say what. Smooth and some really pleasant tannins. Fruit is not huge in the mouth but interesting territiary notes. Drinking very well now.

Fruit forward nose but that great Fonseca tobacco. Fruity and chocolate mouth but a little awkward perhaps.

Believe this is also marketed as NV Quinta das Lamelas 100YO.

Almost sauternes nose - pineapple. Sweet but so complex. Amazing acidity. A truly wonderful wine to experience and probably my highlight for the BFT.

Mild acidity and smooth. Complex nuttiness and sweet caramels. A proper treat.

Remarkably young and fresh for a 30YO on the nose. Honeyed almonds in the mouth. Really excellent.

Nutty nose. Very sweet but decent acidity. A hint of fruit which is surprising! Bit spirity in the mouth, quite nutty.
