Re: Thursday 7th September - Confirmed

Please could somebody check that the placemats are sufficiently satisfactory. (Obviously to be entirely satisfactory requires there being circles for Ck51, D78, F27, and Ni45 — hence the ‘sufficiently’.) Ck51, D78, F27 and Ni45 are all clearly ineligible for the theme. Please propose some alternati...

For the purposes of testing this you could force the software to output CMYK or RGB somewhere on the sheet.

On my HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus at home, RGB is considerably darker and sharper. Will bring the prints to the next tasting we attend together.
Wow! That is very surprising. Thank you for testing.

Testing a deeper black: does CMYK print as a deeper black than RGB? Please print the first page of each and report back. Thank you

Voice of the Vintage (1938), Gaumont-British

Do any readers have access to the 1938 Gaumont-British film Voice of the Vintage? This film is mentioned on page 76 of Ernest Cockburn’s Port Wine and Oporto (1949).

the ideally would be a digitised and downloadable version.

Assuming that Ian is keeping your adopted bottle blind to you JDAW, then the placemats look fine to me. Good. Presumably you have assembled the food order. I have not. Note to self and others re the draft opacity measurement sheet : I think this will need some testing at the next tasting. Hopefully...

Merchants’ packaging of bottles for transport

Wine merchants and others send bottles in various arrangements of cardboard, polystyrene, and other things. This thread is to hold examples of such functional protective light-weight packaging, perhaps with comment and discussion.
