Unsure if this has been highlighted before, but found this...

Not particularly difficult, but mildly amusing.

1970 Gonzalez Byass

First bottle from a previously unopened OWC. Bottles in excellent condition with original tissue wrappers. Decanted but didn't immediately drink, so spent 24hrs under VacuVin prior to tasting. 40% opaque, some browning to core and pale pink rim. Developed nose of leather, wood, spice and possibly or...

67pallmall.tv launch

Clearly not specifically about Port, but no doubt it will make an occasional appearance... Received this from 67 Pall Mall last week and thought it might be of general interest: Launching 67pallmall.tv Firstly, I think it’s time for some good news… When we launched our virtual tastings back in March...

You're unlikely to get it by the 24th, but if you want some mature(?) de la Rosa there's a full 12bt case of the 94 available on WineOwners.com for £600 (duty & VAT paid, but excluding fees & delivery).

The time doesn't work for me. I'll going to wait until the video is available and then watch it (possibly with some of the wines).

Would be interesting to hear your feedback.

Re: Port Vintages: Addendum

Julian - whilst looking something up in The Book last night (whilst sampling a particularly pleasant GB70) noticed that there doesn't seem to be a chapter/section on Churchill. Have I missed it or is this an omission? If an omission will it be included in a later Addendum?

The only change is the mentioned bottling of G63. So a small sip of something would suffice.
Think I've got a number of bottlings that aren't included. Will email you details and hi-res photos.

And while we're on the topic, you can currently buy a glass of the AJ Symington 1882 tawny Port at the Graham's lodge — a 50ml pour is EUR 600.
Bargain.

Slightly cheaper than this and the Scion, the online wine shop of The Yeatman has 1966 Delaforce for €114 per 75cl bottle.
